Scholarship Opportunities for Consumers International Conference on Self-Determination

From Michigan Association of Community Mental Health Boards:

The Michigan Department of Community Health is offering a limited number of consumer scholarships for the International Conference on Self-Determination scheduled for May 27-29, 2008 at the Marriott Renaissance Center in Detroit, Michigan.

If you have consumers who would be interested in attending the conference, please complete the attached form outlining the financial commitment that would be required for the consumer to attend.

This conference will be a place where people representing different countries, many US states and disability groups will gather to have open and in-depth discussions about what is working and what is not working to further self-determination for people who rely on publicly funded supports.  The conference will also provide opportunities for building cross disability and international alliances to strengthen advocacy and leadership of self-determination.
