Following the indictment of a group home worker in Westchester County on rape charges, State Senator David Carlucci (D-Nanuet) said more must be done to protect the developmentally disabled.”
He called on Thursday for immediate passage of Paula’s Law, named for the Sullivan County woman who was raped in a state run group home and died over a year ago from an infection she contracted as a result.
Her brother, William Liblick, has been lobbying for passage of the legislation and he is furious that it has not been approved with just one week left in this year’s session.
