From Michigan Society of Gerontology:
"Housing Dilemmas in Later Life: Can Michigan Put the Puzzle Together?"
November 12, 2008
Hannah Community Center
The purpose of this year's forum is to stimulate conversation on the complex challenges regarding housing for Michigan's elders. A diverse group of panelists will discuss services/housing options and how future plans will accommodate the changing demographic and economic landscape.
As the Michigan Society of Gerontology(MSG) is the only organization in the state which brings together practice, policy and research, this forum offers participants the unique opportunity to direct their collective energy and ideas toward how Michigan might more effectively plan for the challenges ahead.
Discussions will also include ways in which policymakers and organizations can support a wide range of housing, concerns regarding individual rights and decision-making, and the critical intersection of housing and supportive services. Critical appraisal of housing options for Michigan's elders and innovative approaches for the future are encouraged.
MSG is interested in partnering with individuals and/or organizations interested in sponsoring this event and/or organization. MSG offers a special forum rate for those interested in renewing their membership and/or sponsorship. Other sponsorship opportunities are also available.
