Zack Prince loves receiving snail mail. So for his birthday, Prince’s mom put out a Facebook request for cards and boy have people responded.
Prince’s 24th birthday is still nearly two weeks away, but already the man with Down syndrome from Cusseta, Ga. has received almost 200 cards — most from strangers — from as far away as Indiana, Pennsylvania and Missouri.
More than 700 people have shared the initial Facebook post from Prince’s mother, Jerrie Worrell, about her son’s big day on March 25. While Prince doesn’t completely understand the social media movement that’s inspired the influx of mail, Worrell says he loves receiving the correspondence which he reads and displays.
“It doesn’t just make his day. It makes his year,” Worrell told the (Columbus, Ga.) Ledger-Enquirer.
