PEKD & Associates are wishing you and yours a Relaxing and Peaceful Holiday Season and Healthy and Prosperous 2019!
In this edition of the newsletter we are starting out with two holiday themed articles, one about charitable giving, and one about sending money in the mail. We have also included articles related to relevant policy and law changes, as well as articles related to trusts and capital gains taxes.
Please note that one of the stories included in this month’s newsletter is still evolving (Michigan minimum wage and sick time laws)... please see the story below for the update as of December 19th. Stay tuned as there may be a legal challenge that comes next. When folks ask why lawyers are so slow and expensive, this is why. We need to stay on top of what the law is, and how the law can be made worse and advocate against such steps. Every now and then we get the rare honor to improve the law and/or enforce it to improve our clients’ lives.
